Rapper Wiz Khalifa will be performing at the USG-sponsored concert at Lawnparties on May 1, an anonymous source on the USG Social Committee confirmed to The Daily Princetonian on Tuesday afternoon. USG president Michael Yaroshefsky ’12 and USG Social Chair Jake Sally ’12 officially announced the concert on Tuesday evening.
The news comes after the Def Jam record label posted a tour schedule announcing that rapper Big K.R.I.T., who will be opening for Khalifa, would be performing at the University on May 1, along with a note saying that Khalifa would also be performing. The listing was removed from the tour dates early Tuesday evening.
When reached for comment on Tuesday afternoon, Yaroshefsky said that he “can’t say anything about the Lawnparties band until the contracts are done” and deferred to Sally for comment. Sally declined to comment.
